Tim MacDonald has spent a lifetime painting.
Born in 1945 and schooled at the prestigious American Academy of Art in Chicago, where he was a scholarship recipient, MacDonald earned his degree from Herron School of Art in Indianapolis.

He began working as an illustrator in 1972 for such clients as Harley Davidson, Nabisco, Anheuser Busch, Notre Dame, and a host of other national accounts. In 2004 he won the Michigan Duck Stamp Competition, and was a finalist in two categories (wildlife & landscape) in The Artist's Magazine national competition.

Working mainly in oil, acrylic and egg tempera, MacDonald's works are defined by his devotion to realism and his arresting attention to detail. His most impressive subjects are portrait paintings, animal portraits, and landscapes. Pricing is based on size and complexity of the painting. MacDonald's paintings hang in a wide variety of corporations and homes across America.
